Anti-Violence Project
New York City Anti-Violence Project (AVP) provides free and confidential assistance to thousands of LGBTQ and HIV-affected people across New York city each year through their 24-hour bilingual hotline, counseling, support groups, legal representation, and individual advocacy. AVP helps survivors of violence and allies become advocates for safety through participation in community education and outreach, development of organizing campaigns, and the creation and support of city, state ad national coalitions to address LGBTQ and HIV-affected violence. ​

Day One*
​Day One partners with New York City youth to end dating abuse and domestic violence through community education, supportive services, legal advocacy, and leadership development. Serving all five boroughs, Day One sues an empowerment model that invests and involves young people in maintaining safe relationships for themselves and their peers.

LGBT National Hotlines*
​The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Youth Talkline provides telephone, online private one-to-one chat and email peer-support, as well as factual information and local resources for cities and towns across the United States. All of their services are free and confidential. They speak with teens and young adults up to age 25 about coming-out issues, relationship concerns, parent issues, school problems, HIV/AIDS anxiety and safer-sex information, and lots more.

NYC Domestic Violence Hotline
Victims of domestic violence may receive temporary housing, emergency shelter and supportive services for themselves and their children. All programs provide a safe environment as well as counseling, advocacy and referral services. ​

Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network (RAINN) - National Sexual Assault Hotline
Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline in partnership with more than 1,000 local sexual assault providers across the country. ​

The Samaritans 24-Hour Crisis Response Hotline
The Samaritans 24-Hour Crisis Hotline provides those in crisis (as well as the people who care for them) with a 24-hour safety net that can be used to fill-in service gaps, bridge between appointments, and act as a source of ongoing emotional maintenance for those with chronic emotional issues.
